Privacy Policy

        Summary: StickyMemo stores your personal sticky notes and board settings locally on your device. The optional Friend feature (available after Google Sign-In) stores your nickname, profile, and the memos you exchange with friends on the Company's server. If you do not use the Friend feature, no user data is sent to the Company's server.
    

1. Purpose of Privacy Policy

H2M ("Company") operates the "StickyMemo" mobile application ("App"), package name com.h2m.utils.stickymemo. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the App, how that information is used, and how it is protected.

By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Create or Configure (Stored Locally)

StickyMemo provides text-only sticky notes and a lock-screen overlay board. The following information is stored only inside your device by default.

2.2 Information Stored on the Company Server (Friend Feature Only)

The Friend feature is optional and becomes available after Google Sign-In. When you use the Friend feature, the following information is stored on the Company's server.

2.3 Automatically Collected Information

The App and third-party SDKs used by the App may process limited technical information automatically:

Device and App Info: app version, OS version, device model, language, and basic configuration.
Notification / Permission State: notification permission, overlay permission, and battery optimization exemption status.
Ad and Purchase Signals: advertising identifiers, ad interaction data, purchase status, purchase token, and billing state handled by Google services.
Diagnostic Data: crash logs, performance measurements, and aggregated usage signals where Google Firebase services are enabled in the distributed build.

2.4 Permissions and Device Access

The App may request the following permissions or device access to provide its features:

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): for the quick-add reminder, friend memo notifications, and the foreground service notice for the board service.
Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): required to show the memo board over other apps when the screen turns on (core feature).
Full-screen notifications (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT): assists displaying the board over the lock screen.
Ignore battery optimizations (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS): keeps the screen-event service alive in the background (user-controlled).
Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE / SPECIAL_USE): runs the service that detects screen-on events and shows the board.
Boot Completed (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): restores the board service, widgets, and notifications after a reboot or app update.
WAKE_LOCK / VIBRATE: for notification display and vibration.
Internet / Network (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): for the Friend feature, ads, billing, and service diagnostics.
Advertising ID (AD_ID): for Google AdMob ad identification.
In-app billing (BILLING): for premium purchase processing.
Photos / media (optional, only when using the Friend feature): selecting an image for your profile picture.

3. Data Storage

        Local Storage First: Most user data — sticky memos, board settings, themes, notification preferences — is stored in the App's local database (SQLite) and app-private storage on your device. Uninstalling the App removes this data.
    

        Friend Feature Data Is Stored on the Server: Because the Friend feature inherently delivers data to other users, the Company stores your nickname, profile, friend relationships, and exchanged memos on its server after Google Sign-In. If you do not use the Friend feature or do not sign in, no data is sent to the server.
    

You can control server-stored Friend feature data through "Log out" or "Delete account" in the App settings. Deleting your account removes your account, profile, friend relationships, and sent memos from the server (legally required records may be retained for the period required by applicable law).

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services. These providers may process limited technical data according to their own policies.

4.1 Google Sign-In

The Friend feature requires Google Sign-In. When signing in, Google issues an ID token through which your account identifier (sub) and email are forwarded to the Company's server for authentication.

4.2 Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)

FCM is used to deliver push notifications when a friend sends you a memo, when someone adds you as a friend, and similar events. The FCM token is stored on the Company's server and is used solely for sending notifications.

4.3 Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display ads in the free version of the App. AdMob may process advertising identifiers, device information, approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data.

4.4 Google Play Billing

We use Google Play Billing for premium purchases and subscription handling.

Important: The Company does not directly collect or store credit card numbers or bank account information. Payment information is processed by Google Play.

4.5 Google Firebase Services

The distributed build may use Google Firebase services such as Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, or Remote Config for app quality and operational support.

These services may process device, app, crash, or aggregated usage data.
We do not intentionally use these services as storage for your local memo content.

5. Sharing with Third Parties

The Company does not sell your personal information or memo content.

Information may only be processed or disclosed in the following cases:

Memos and profile information (nickname, profile color, profile image) you intentionally send to friends through the Friend feature are visible to those friends.
Third-party services described in this Policy, only to the extent needed for ads, billing, diagnostics, or service operation.
When required by applicable law, lawful request, or legal process.

6. Your Rights

You can control your data in the following ways:

Access: view your memos, board / drawer items, friend list, and sent / received memos in the App.
Edit: edit or delete memos, change profile (nickname / color / image), and adjust board display settings.
Friend Management: block / unblock friends, change auto pin-to-board option.
Memo Deletion: delete sent memos individually or clear them all at once.
Logout: stop using the Friend feature (server data is preserved and restored on next sign-in).
Delete Account: remove your account, profile, friend relationships, and sent memos from the server.
Local Data Deletion: delete individual memos, clear app data, or uninstall the App to remove local data.
Ad Controls: limit ad personalization through your Google or device settings where supported.

7. Security Measures

The Company applies reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App:

Local memos are stored in Android's app sandbox and app-private storage.
Friend feature server communication is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS).
Friend feature authentication is handled by validating the Google-issued ID token; passwords are not collected by the Company.
The Company applies reasonable access controls and retention policies to Friend feature server data.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 14 years of age. The Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe such information has been provided inadvertently, please contact us.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

The Company may update this Privacy Policy when the App or related legal requirements change. Updated versions will be posted in the App, on the App listing, or in the related policy distribution channel. Continued use after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

11. Purpose of Collection and Use

Information processed by the App is used for the following purposes:

Creating sticky-note style memos and organizing them in the board / drawer.
Displaying the memo board over other apps when the screen turns on (overlay).
Controlling board exposure with daily limits, time ranges, and snooze modes.
Sending the quick-add reminder when there are no memos to display.
Adding friends, sending and receiving memos, and blocking friends.
Sending push notifications (FCM) when friend memos arrive.
Operating ads, premium billing, diagnostics, and service quality improvements.

12. Retention Period

Retention depends on where the data is stored.

13. Data Processing Delegation

The Company uses the following external providers to support parts of the service:

14. International Transfer

The Company's Friend feature server may operate in data centers located outside your country. Information processed by Google or Firebase services may also be handled outside your country in accordance with those providers' policies. You can avoid sending data to the Company's server by not using the Friend feature.
